Who holds the heart of the moon

Depth, deeper than ocean’s deep

Love deeper still

Romance that steals the heart of the glowing moon

Flinging its light into corners that have never known light

Like a man awakening from a deep sleep and squinting in its brightness

Is the romance I have prepared this heart for

And refuse to accept

Anything less

You have shown me a better way

Caring and sharing from the heart

Was the gift you gave me

A gift I will treasure forever

And wrap in a package fit for a queen

To bestow upon the one

Who holds the heart of the moon
